A landlord in Luanda sub county in Vihiga county has threatened to sue Amani National Congress party for failing to pay him rental fees amounting to Sh40,000 over office rent.
The landlord of Mwamba Flats Boaz Okwemba has decried that ANC chairman Sikalo Ochiel
rented his house but he has failed to pay him his dues.
However, at the party headquarters, it is said that then secretary general Geoffrey Osotsi authorised Sh450,000 to be given to Ochiel to offset rent matter.
Okwemba was forced to evict him from his house after the branch officials showed no sign of paying him the outstanding rent arrears.
Okwemba said he has written several letters to the party demanding his money but no commitment has been made.
He said he is planning to file a case against the party to compel them pay him his money plus the interest.
“I rented my house to ANC party in Luanda near Women Finance Bank but they have not paid me my rent amounting to Sh40,000. I am planning to sue the party to compel them to pay
me my dues,” fumed Okwemba.
