Kenyan Tycoon’s prime land faces auction


A politician from Kieni, Anthony Wainaina, alias Ebenezer, is now a troubled man as auctioneers target his prime pieces of land and property in Nyeri and Nairobi over huge amounts of unserviced bank loans, thus resulting to the crumbling of business empire.

Anthony Wainaina stood for Kieni parliamentary seat in 2013 polls, but lost to Kanini Kega. In Jubilee primaries this year, he was the running mate of Mutahi Kagwe who was vying for Nyeri county gubernatorial seat but the pair lost to Wahome Gakuru.

Garam Investment Auctioneers under instructions will sell by public auction the commercial property, block of flats, in Eastleigh section III estate in Nairobi. The parcel of land LR No 36/111/63/ (N3244/7 file 369) is registered in the name of the politician.

The prime commercial-cum-residential property is listed as Ebenezer building in Narumoro town, Nyeri  county. The property LRNo5118/222 (LR.No.80731) will be sold on June 29 2017 and the other one is agricultural property in Mikumbune, Nyeri county LRNo Mikumbune/148 and 149) registered under his name. The property will be auctioned on June 29 2017 in Nyeri town and the last one is registered under the name of his wife Irene Nyakinyua Njoroge,   title deed no Nyeri/Narumoro/1174. The property will be auctioned on June 29 2017 outside post office in Nyeri town at 12.00 noon. The auctioneers have listed the properties No 7, 8, 9 and 10 in the auction schedule.
