Doctors recommend bed rest for Raila after health scare

Doctors have recommended bed rest for a number of days for opposition leader Raila Odinga following his near collapse in Tanzania.It is as a result,Raila for the last few days is rarely seen in public.

The doctors advised him to go slow on public engagements and ensure he spends as much time as possible resting.

This explains why Raila has slowed down on public appearances since meeting Tanzanian President John Pombe Magufuli.

Since then, Raila has only held a brief meeting with the Resident Representative to Kenya of the Hanns Seidel Foundation, Uta Staschewski at Capitol Hill Square. The meeting lasted less than five minutes.

He also briefly attended the late Argwings-Kodhek memorial service at Holy Family Basilica before spending less than five minutes receiving a brief from Nyanza leaders at Capitol Hill Square on the coordination and monitoring of development projects initiated by President Uhuru Kenyatta.

He also met briefly officials of the African Aviation Industry Group (AAIG).

Raila communications director who doubles as his PersonalAssistant (PA), Dennis Onyango had clarified that his boss was doing fine in Dar es Salaam.
