Managing Director interviews divides KEBS board

Managing Director interviews divides KEBS board

For the second time this year CS for Industrialization Peterr Munya has overruled the Board of KenyaBureau of  Standards (KEBS)and disregarded interviews conducted for the position of Managing Director for the troubled and haunted government agency.

The first interviews which were done by Delloite and Touche resulted in the 3 best candidates being rejected by the all powerful minister.

The board was forced to contract AMSTEL to recruit for them the next Managing Director. After several interviews, Weekly Citizen has established the board settled on a shortlist which was presented to the minister to choose from.

The minister then went for his childhood friend Benard Njiraini whom he unilaterally picked.

The board was intimated and threatened with disbandment if they did not support Njiraini .
